Arrive historic New Castle, Delaware. Enjoy a Guided Tour of the Amstel House and the Dutch House, both decorated for the holidays. See important architectural landmarks of the region, admire unique antiques, and learn fascinating stories about the people who lived there. The histories of the houses are intertwined with prominent families, stretching from the origins of the town in the 17th century through Revolutionary times and to the 20th century's important early preservationists.

12:45 - 2:00 p.m.

Arrive the Hagley Museum in Wilmington, Delaware.Buffet Lunch, included, at the Soda House, built in 1888, the building was used to process and store Sodium Nitrate, an ingredient used in an explosive called B-blasting powder. Today the building is used to house archives. Your menu is: Caesar Salad, Chicken Breast Francese, Penne Pomodoro, Herb Roasted Potatoes, Fresh Vegetable, Fruit Salad, Rolls, Butter, and Miniature Desserts.

2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Experience a Guided Tour through the historic DuPont Company black powder yards and the grounds of the first du Pont family home in America. You see demonstrations in the nineteenth-century machine shop, by watching a water turbine bring an eight-ton iron roll mills to life, and witness a black powder explosion. On the second half of the tour, you visit Eleutherian Mills, the 1803 du Pont ancestral home. The residence glows with elaborate decorations featuring dining room displays, heavily decorated Christmas trees, and family-owned objects not displayed at any other time of the year.
