Itinerary Change: With the Ferry Schedules just confirmed, the entire tour has been rearranged to go in the counter clockwise direction. Every element is still included but, we travel to Nova Scotia then Prince Edward Island and then New Brunswick.

ITINERARY CHANGE

The Ferry Schedules from the US Mainland to Nova Scotia have just been confirmed. To be able to run the tour and stay within the framework of the published dates, we are now running the tour in a counterclockwise direction. The itinerary goes from Nova Scotia to Prince Edward Island. Every element from the original itinerary is included just in the opposite order.

IMPORTANT

VALID PASSPORT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL TOURS TO CANADA.

DAY 1 - Tuesday

Travel through New England to Maine's largest friendliest city; Lodging: South Portland.

DAY 2 - Wednesday

Depart for the unspoiled Acadia National Park for a visit to Cadillac Mountain and Bar Harbor.
Board a ferry for our 3-hour afternoon crossing to Nova Scotia; Lodging: Yarmouth.

DAY 3 - Thursday

Travel along the scenic Evangeline Trail stopping at the Grand Pre Historic Site, 14 acres dedicated to the first settlers.
Two nights Lodging: Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dinner Cruise of the Halifax Harbor.

DAY 4 - Friday

Learn about Halifax on a city tour including the Citadel and manicured Public Gardens.
Afternoon in the charming Peggy's Cove, a vibrant fishing village.

DAY 5 - Saturday

Depart for Cape Breton Island and the lovely Highlands National Park.
Stop at the Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site, chronicling the inventor's life.
Two nights Lodging: Baddeck, Nova Scotia.

DAY 6 - Sunday

Tour the picturesque Cabot Trail stopping at Cheticamp fishing village, the resort town Ingonish, and St. Ann's, home to College of Celtic Arts. Along the Trail, enjoy a Picnic Lunch.

DAY 7 - Monday

Ferry across the Northumberland Strait from Nova Scotia to Prince Edward Island.
Two nights Lodging: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Traditional Lobster Supper, included.

DAY 8 - Tuesday

Local Guide introduces us to the capital city and "Anne's Land" with its red beaches and rustic countryside.
Dinner followed by an evening performance of the musical "Anne of Green Gables".

Day 9 - Wednesday

Cross over the long Confederation Bridge to New Brunswick stopping at the stunning Hopewell Rocks.
Guided tour of the province's capital city of Saint John includes the phenomenal Reversing Falls.
Lodging: Saint John, New Brunswick.

Day 10 - Thursday

Returning to the States, travelling through Maine to Portland for a brief city tour including the Old Port.
Lodging: South Portland, Maine.

Day 11 - Friday

Brief tour of the village of York, and onto a stop at "The Nubble" Lighthouse.
6:30 p.m. Return to Franconia.

Cancellation Policy for Multi-Day Getaways:

  • Full Refund is given for notice received 31 or more days prior to the tour.

  • Within 8-30 Days of departure, Full Refund less 10% fee plus any Prepaid Amounts.

  • Within 7 Days of departure, No Refund. No Transfers.
